Still, companies continue to fall foul of greenwashing. RepRisk’s report highlighted a 35% increase in documented greenwashing incidents last year, with several organisations having to retract their misleading claims in recent years.
As a result, we teeter dangerously close to straying into an era of “greenhushing”.
